Fox News poll: 60% of US voters say Iran war was the wrong decision

A mid-September Fox News survey found a record share of registered US voters, more than 60 percent, saying military action against Iran was the wrong decision. Seventy-one percent said the Trump administration lacks a clear strategy to end the conflict, which the poll linked to higher inflation and fuel prices. Forty-seven percent said the war would make the United States less safe long term, up from 39 percent in earlier polling.

CBS photos show heavy damage at US bases in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait from Iranian strikes

Images obtained by CBS News, a BBC partner, show a destroyed Boeing E-3 Sentry at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia and damaged trailers and buildings at Camp Buehring and Camp Arifjan in Kuwait. The photos were provided by active US military personnel and follow a Pentagon inspector general report that Iranian attacks damaged or destroyed hundreds of structures at US sites in the region. Centcom did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

UN experts say reasonable grounds US committed war crimes in February Iran strikes

A UN Human Rights Council fact-finding mission said there are reasonable grounds to believe US forces committed war crimes in the 28 February strikes on a primary school in Minab and a sports complex in Lamerd, which Iranian authorities say killed at least 177 civilians including many children. The experts said the school was struck twice and was clearly identifiable, while noting Iran also committed crimes against humanity in its January protest crackdown. A State Department official rejected the findings; the US has denied striking Lamerd and said it was investigating Minab.
