Israeli exit polls show no majority for Netanyahu or Eisenkot
Israeli exit polls after Tuesday's vote showed no clear majority for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or former military chief Gadi Eisenkot, the BBC and Al Jazeera reported. Two broadcasters projected each bloc near 51 seats in the 120-seat Knesset, while a third gave Netanyahu a small lead. Arab parties were projected at about 18 to 19 seats. Turnout was 77.7% when polls closed, the highest at that hour since 1999, according to the Central Elections Committee. Official results and military absentee ballots are still being counted.
