Twelve Russian Federal Security Service officers died and 15 were wounded Wednesday when Ukrainian drones struck an FSB command post in occupied Donetsk, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces said.
The Strike
The attack hit around 8:00 a.m. local time. Eight FP-2 drones slammed into a multi-story unfinished building used as an FSB command point, sending a chain of explosions across the city center.
Robert Brovdi, who commands the Unmanned Systems Forces under the call sign Magyar, posted the results on Telegram. He said all eight strikes hit the target.
Ukrainian defense firm Fire Point builds the FP-2. The drone carries a 60 to 100 kilogram payload and is designed for medium-range strikes.
Who Conducted It
Brovdi’s force ran the operation jointly with fighters from the 1st Corps of the Azov Brigade, part of Ukraine’s National Guard.
In May 2025, President Zelensky awarded Brovdi the title Hero of Ukraine, the country’s highest honor.
The Target
According to Brovdi, the FSB post handled sabotage, recruitment, intelligence networks, and the planning of terrorist attacks and arson. It also coordinated Russian proxy forces across the occupied territories.
Footage circulating on social media after the strike showed a drone hitting the building. Secondary explosions followed.
