BBC: At least 13 killed in Ukrainian drone strike on Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan

Russian local officials told the BBC at least 13 people were killed, including one child, and 75 injured when drones hit Nizhnekamsk, more than 1,100 km from the Ukrainian border. Ukraine said the Tanevo oil refinery was struck. The Uzbek consulate said seven of the dead were Uzbek citizens. Moscow said air defences shot down more than 450 Ukrainian drones overnight across Russia.

Wildberries logistics hub in Voronezh Oblast hit overnight; fires reported deep inside Russia

Monitoring channels cited by the Kyiv Independent said a Wildberries logistics hub in Novaya Usman, Voronezh Oblast, caught fire after explosions during Ukrainian strikes. Voronezh Governor Alexander Gusev said air defences downed 15 drones overnight and that two Wildberries warehouses were hit, with one person killed and two injured, according to Military Summary. Separate, unverified reports also described fires at industrial sites far from the border, including Komsomolsk-on-Amur.

Moscow court bars anti-war Yabloko party from September parliamentary elections

A Moscow court ruled that Yabloko, Russia's only registered liberal party opposing the war in Ukraine, cannot stand in next month's parliamentary elections, the BBC reported. The case was brought by the pro-Kremlin Rodina party. Supporters outside the courthouse chanted "Shame" after the verdict. The Central Electoral Commission had earlier approved Yabloko's candidate list.

Five killed, 21 injured as Russian missiles and bombs hit Zaporizhzhia and Kyiv

The Kyiv Independent reported five dead and 20 injured in Zaporizhzhia and one injured in Kyiv after overnight ballistic missile and guided aerial bomb attacks. Zaporizhzhia Governor Ivan Fedorov said homes and other buildings were damaged, with fires and power outages. Ukraine's Air Force had warned of ballistic missiles targeting Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv.
