The Ethiopian federal government launched what it termed a “law enforcement operation” against Tigray following the attack on Northern Command bases.
“This is a law enforcement operation to restore constitutional order and bring criminals to justice.”
The operation would escalate into a full-scale war affecting millions of civilians across northern Ethiopia.
